Well I am 5'8" and @ 215, but I have had my wife on the back and she is 110, so 325 and still had more snot than I would ever use. Progressive shocks might be a worth while investment, but there is no more fun than a Sportster + twisties!!!

They already make the bike your looking for, it's called the dyna street bob. Is it even possible to not like the look of the dyna and love the look of the sportster custom, it's the exact same lines. Oh well, everybody is different.

I was looking at Sportster but I'm about 250 lb 5'8 45 years old and feel like I'm 65 years old lol.

The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) for a Sportster 883 or 1200 is 1000lbs. All bikes can take at least an additional 400lbs that is made up of accessories, cargo, riding gear, passenger and rider.

13 year old thread. Nice . I’m 6’1” and 260. My 883 is perfect. I bought it as a commuter and to build out with a hammer 1275 and customize. They’re cheaper to maintain, hold their value well, and way cheaper to customize than other larger bikes. Sportster will do exactly what you’re looking for
