Personally I hate them, takes away everythingI love about riding a motorcycle, the wind, the cold, the bugs. I had one for about two weeks and took it off and never put it back on.
I know a lot of people like them but lots of people like baggers (and cages) too, when I ride I like it to be me and themachine under meand the environment, and nothing in between.

LMAO. You're PAYING to have them put that on?!? That is literally FIVE minutes of work including opening the box. It takes the tightening offour bolts to get it together.
Yeah, and they're putting onanother seat, too! That's a total of ONE bolt! Side stand extension, slip on mufflers, QDbackrest and mounts, and 11" Progressive 412's. And the 1k service. I figure while they're putting themufflers and shocks on, and doing the 1k service, they can do the other stuff, too. Especially since I live in an apartment, have limited tools, limited space, have to park the bike a distance away frommy apartment, and I won'tevenbe in the countrythis comingMonday! It's a win-win for me...I don't have to worry about anything, and the bike's safetill I come back on Oct. 18th.

I did over 200 expressway miles this weekend with a windshield and passed several trucks. The wind blast was negligable, although it was a calm day.

You get used to the wind in about a month if you ride alot. I rode my fathers Gold Wing and it felt weird because of the lack of wind....didn't like it

I have a HD QD and loved it until I put the auxillary lights on and now it doesn't fit. It's for sale if anyone is looking for a used one in good shape. I purchased a National windshield that is smaller and doesn't interfere with the aux lights. Only problem is it leaves some hardware behind when you take it off.

No problems here. I would not ride without a windshield.

I have the HD QD windshield. I don't normally ride with it, but it's sure a welcome addition when the temps get below my tolerance level. Darn nice to have.
