Another tip... Always use a DAMP microfiber cloth for quick detailing.... e.g. spray the cloth with the cleaning agent and then wipe down...

If the scratches are fine then why do you want to get rid of them? [sm=burnout.gif]

Actually, I have used Meguire's Scratch X product on the wife's carfor fine scratches and it worked pretty well.

i guess i must be crazy.i wash my bike at the car wash.(no not the drive thrugh kind). i figure that if i can ride it in the rain i can hoser down at the car wash.takes the bugs off reeaaalllyyy fast too.ain't noticed any scratches yet so guess im fine.after washing it i use some of those soft detailing cloths you pay like 75 cents for out of the vending machines to dry it off with then ride about 2-5 miles to blow dry.no problems so far.don't get no water spots on crome or have any problems mechanically from it.

on a side note i make sure not to get to agressive with it. and try not to directly spray the oil cap or up in to the engine .( tranny breather tube).and high pressuere will take oil off thetranny and gear covers(grey powder coat)

On white and silver bikes it tends to be difficult to see the scratches even if they are there. Darker colors tend to make them stand out. I am a fan of Zaino as well. It is a lot of work, but makes the bike look fabulous. I am a sucker for all these fancy detailing products...

Try using NANO WAX, I've had good luck with this wax and when I'm done there are no swirls in the paint. It doesn't last as long as some waxes, but it's easy to use, and leaves a silky no swirl shine.

**UPDATE** last night I stopped off and got some swirl compound remover. It pulled all the scratches out of the black paint.
The right mirror is not scratched but rather the mirror silver backing is "crazing" and in one spot there is a flaw "chip" that you can't feel on the surface but is coming from the backside of the mirror. The left mirror is fine. I took some plastic polish too it thinking it was on the surfacethe scraches didn'tfade at all. Ifound it kind of strange that the "scratches appeared a weekafter I last washed the bike. Itwas coincidence of noticing the scratches in the paint and the mirror at the same time.

Maguires swirl remover. I also have used the 3M brand in the past and I prefer it, but Maguires is easier to find.
