Good for her ! Great to hear stories like this one....someone gettin back on the horse that threw them, and overcomming their fear......great job !

 

Congrats to her for continuing to ride despite some early setbacks. Sounds like she has a lot of experience already!

 

2 steps forward 1 step back.

Just a follow up my wife has ridden her sporty about 350 miles this past week. Today we went on a 212.8 mile trip. She did great. Ran on highways up to about 60-65mph. Drove through parking lots,on curvy roads. We had a great time.She has been having trouble turning off the hwy into our drive way. Normally gets off in the grass a little. Today she nailed the drive way just perfect.The drive way is gravel. I went in first and hit the garage door operner so the door is up when she starts up the drive. Just as she got up to the door she thought she was going too fast and hit the front brake. Guess what she dropped the sporty and fell off. She is fine and the bike is also fine. She is very disappointedat dropping the bike. The good news is the first thing out of her mouth was that she hit the front brake and shethinks she was going too slow to use the front brake. She is right. She has really made me proud of her to keep on trying to ride. She is doing well and learning from her mistakes. She get it I know. Lesson learned dont give up and learn from your mistakes.

 

I dumped my first 2 bikes...once each...in my gravel driveway. The standing joke became that IF I could get out of my driveway, I was fine. Tell her not to give up!
