Hahaha....I don't know if that kind of popping would be a good thing or a bad thing around here! I'm gonna mess with it more after I get back this afternoon. The sound is like that of a firecracker. It's a pretty severe "CRACK" accompanied by some nice colored blue flames. The thing that scared me the most last night was when I was adjusting some stuff from my laptop I noticed my CEL was on. That's when I shut it down, zero'd the map, redownloaded the correct map and fired it back up. The CEL was gone but it was still popping on decel pretty bad.

 

Ok probably a stupid question but what is a CEL? [&o]

Yep! As I've stated before, PCIII is a piece of CRAP! I wished I had bought the SERT!

 

What problems were you having with the PC III?

 

The bike falls flat if I don't let it warm for at least 3-4 min. It also has a flat spot, at about 2200 rpm with the quick snap of the throttle!

 

The flat spot canmaybe be fixed with the Power Commander accelerator pump utility which is free to download from their site. Not sure on the other problem. have you tried calling their tech support? 1-800-992-4993

 

I have called! There response was you still have to let it warm up like a carb bike because it is air cooled!
However, I did not know about the accelerator pump. Thanks, I'll check it out.

 

I just downloaded a map that another user on here sent me. He is running CycleShacks which are similar to my Short Shots. So far it seems to be running really well. Now I definitely can tell the difference between a lean "crack" and a rich "pop" I have some muffled pops in the pipe on decel but I havent had one "crack" so far. Im gonna put some miles on it tomorrow hopefully and really run it out and then pull the plugs.
