Default WOW! This site saved me a lot of headaches and money.

I was already to move up to a 2008 fatboy but no way now after readings all the treads about gear clatter “rocks in a can noise" and the heat issues with the BT’s WOW! [:'(]Sounds like a mess. I sure do hope all those folks who posted treads get their bikes fixed without having to spend big bucks, man that bites spending all that cash for a new bike that sounds like it needs fixed before you can even take it home. Good luck folks.

Makes me really appreciate my Roadster even more.

Not that it means a whole lot, but IMHO the Evolution engine is built more like a rock than the Twin Cams. The Evolution, in all its iterations, has proven to be a very reliablerunner for a whole bag full of miles. If I ever go to a BT it will be Evolution powered, which obviously means used- at least until they get the Twin Cams right. I mean, coming out with a "fix" that shuts down the rear cylinder to keep the heat build-up off you in traffic! I think I know where Rube Goldberg is working now...

2007 Dyna running good here. All it usually takes is a fuel management system to get the temps down. The baggers are the ones with the biggest heat problems but who wants one of those anyways? No rocks in a can sound whatsoever either.
The evolution motor in the big twins was pretty weak pertaining to power wasn't it?
