On long interstate trips, I use ear plugs. It really helps with the fatigue factor. Just putt puttin around the country side I don't bother with them.

Oh..and a weenie shield really won't help with the wind "noise" either. If anything, I think they make the wind "noise" worse. If will help block the wind from your body, but then you have even more air flowing around the weenie shield, that passes your ears.

I have tried the foam ear plugs then tried these, ther is no comparision.

Weenie shield!? Weenie shield!? Yea right, in january here in Ohio and its 10 - 15 degrees out at 5:30 am, I'll take my Weenie shield, otherwise you'll be parkin it and in the cage WOW what fun that is!!

ear plugs all the the time, no windshield on short trips, and windshield on long trips, but ear plugs all the time , half face helmet

Try doc's pro plugs. They are actually for diving but there good for wind noise . Made out of clear plastic. Bought them at a local dive shop.
