I'm not an expert as I'm a new rider however, if you have any concerns, find a good mechanic who can look it over for you and make sure there are no major issues.

It sure looks like a nice bike in the picture. I absolutely LOVE my 07 883c. I will not sell it...ever... even if I DO get that Heritage I want. There's always room for one more bike in the garage!

$8800 seems a bit steep don't ya think? I'm not sure how european prices are though? A new 883C goes $8900 ish at a local dealer? Cool bike though, just not sure on the market over their[&:]

$8800 seems pretty steep for an '03, no matter how low the mileage. Then again, I have no idea how supply/demand is currently running in your neck of the woods. Good luck!

Sounds like acool idea. That particular bike already has a nice seat and windshield, too, so it'd be good for touring.

That price does seem steep but as others said that's based on the US market. How much is a new 883 there? This bike should be around $2000 less if for no other reason than it's out of warranty compared to a new one with a 2 year warranty. Just my .02

I know on the other side of the pond you pay about three times for "petrol" what we do. Over here the price may be a little high, but it is a nice looking well optioned bike. And if that price is comparable over there I would say go for it.

Hi
Today I'm now completely confused as to what to do, so I'm looking for your thoughts yet again to help me make sense of it all.
First I went for a ride on the bike in the original picture, Its an 883c, It has 500 miles on the clock and is in showroom condition. It felt great, sounded nice, Rode well, It felt very solid and held the road well.
I have been told by a Harley dealer that when this bike was new (2003) the price would heve been £4995 ($10,089)
Its advertised on the net at £4695 ($9483) though the price on it at the shop is £4495 ($9083)
I said I thought it was overpriced so they offered me two different deals.
1, Cash price for the bike £4250 ($8581)
2, The full price of £4495 ($9083) + £250 ($500) worth of goods, Helmet etc.
The list price for a 2008 883c in the uk is £5995 ($12,105)

I then went to a Harley dealer and rode an 06 883c. I thought it felt really loose on the front end but the dealer told me this is due to the larger front wheel, I did prefer the wider tank but it didnt sound as nice with the standard pipes. This bike has 2100 miles on it and is up for £4495 ($9083)

I realise that thereare quite a lot of other differences between an 03 and an 06 and really have no idea which is the better bike to buy, Or should I just wait and watch the used market for a while and see what becomes available, again your opinions would be much apreciated.

I'd say that if a new one is 12,000 and you like the way this looks & rides I'd offer them 8,000. At 4,000 off a new one and some accessories included it sounds pretty good to me.

Based on your last post it sounds like a decent deal. Take it for the cash price.
