Try this. Close the low jet screw all the way in, then open it 1 full turn. Try to start it. If not starting, open it another turn. If it starts, warm it fully, and turn the screw in or out for maximum smoothness and response. You might also have to adjust the idle speed screw while doing this.

The following carb tuning instructions are for a CV carb but might just work for you. The instructions are at the end of the article.
Oooops, I left out the link: https://www.hdforums.com/m_190110/tm.htm

Contact S&S. They can help you with the tuning and setup. But they will need to know what modifications have been done. You can get an instruction sheet from them, probably a PDF download.

Does that carb have any external vacuum ports? If so, start with the screw about one turn out. Start the bike, adjust screw to highest vacuum reading then back inquarter turn. Set idle speed and recheck vacuum, you may have to go back and forth several times for optimum setting.

Thanks for everyones help, but I got it. It was a brand new set of plug wires arching out really bad. I try to start it last night after dark and it looked like the 4th of July.

Thanks again for all the help everyone,
Jim

No problem, glad you got it figured out. That is a nice looking scoot you have there by the way.

Good job. In my first post, I asked about the plugs and wires. Then we got off on the carb and its tune. Once in awhile I get something right. Enjoy yourself. Ride safe.
