Nightster for sale, wife wants a bigger bike
Guys/gals,
I just posted my nightster for sale in the classifieds. I hate to do it, but the wife wants to ride with me so I have to upgrade to a bigger bike. I love this bike, hate to see it go.
So please spread the word for me. thanks

Dont think you're gonna get $11.5 for that.

so with the add-ons i think this is reasonable.
I will let it go for $9500 completely stock, or any reasonable offer[sm=smiley20.gif]

You might want consider keeping the bike and put on a touring seat, passenger pegs, and detachable uprights/back rest. Unless you get real lucky, the bike is too new to not take a hit. As soon as you rode the bike home from the dealer, it lost 20% of its value. You might get $9500 with accessories included. I'm not trying to pizz on your parade but its a sad fact of life. No different with cars, boats, etc. Like I said before though you may get lucky. What do I know.

You drive it off the lot it depreciates..as does everything. Aftermarket parts, just like on a car don't mean diddly. Most if not all of them are overpriced anyway. I wish you luck and you know what you HAVE to get out of it... But, personally I think it's a non-realistic price. And no, it doesn't matter what you can get a new one for. Your bike is not new. Think of it as pennance for making the wrong choice to begin with. Did you really think she wouldn't want to ride with you?
Play hardball with the dealer on an 07, RK or other touring bike. Go right back to where you bought the nighty at. Do some research on what they have had in stock and need to move and find out the invoice (Online) on the bike you are interested in and lay out the numbers.
You know they will get at least 9500.00 for your nightster so they will make 2K right there. If you know the invoice on the new model you want, work the #'s. Armed with the right info will get you a better price than you trying to do an outright sale...
