RE: today is 9/11
At the time, I worked across the river from the WTC in Newark, NJ. Iwatched helplessly from my 10-story office as the buildings burned and collapsed - I was heartsick. The initial reports on TV of what happened were frantic and confused. First it was an accident, then the second tower was hit - pandemonium ruled the air waves. The whole day is indelibly etched in my mind andI will NEVER forget the atrocity of the act nor the way my life was forever changed that day. God Bless thosewho were lost at the WTC, Pentagon, and on Flight 93, those who ranTOWARDS the WTCto help, and God help those who survived to heal.

I will be attending a remembrance service in a couple of hours. Looks like me and the Pig are gonna get wet. Something strange is falling outta the sky here today.
And tomorrow, I will be escorting another of our fallen heros from the airport to yet another funeral home.
I ride everyday with apicture of a fallen Marine on my vest, over my heart.
NEVER FORGET!!

Even though I'm on the West coast I had friends involved onein one ofthe towers and one inthe Pentagon. One made it, one didn't.
I will NEVER forget turning on the tv and commenting... "Look, there's a highrise burning somewhere", only to realize seconds later what was happening. Thinking back, I still get that sickening feeling in my stomach.
The other thing I will never forget is the erie silence that night, no planes, with the exception of the occassional F15 that flew over from McChord, no traffic... just dead silence.
God grant us Long memories, God bless those who died on 9/11 and their families, and God Bless our men and women who fight every day to keep this country free.

Amen to to that. Good feed. I remember people just stopping work and the company huddled around
a B&W TV in the break-room. A group of people even went out across the street and prayed all huddled and holding hands.
Very intense day. My ex wife even called me and I went over to her house with the kids so we could all be together
until we all knew everything was OK. I'll never Forget.
