Default Fast with SE11's vs V&H

So, i recently bought a sporty with se2's on it. And it ran pretty good. I like it, just not as loud and abnotious as i like. My last sporty (both 883) had v&H straight shots, and there pretty loud. I like the sound alot. I changed pipes this weekend, to find out, that it has no mid range torque anymore. Any one have suggestions? Or should i change my pipes back?

I think I'm correct in thinking you have a carburettor equipped bike, rather than EFI. In that case, you may need to rejet the carb to get best performance with the different pipes.

Yes a carb rejet would help. Also a better air flow system would be good too.

What kind of pipes did you change to? Drag pipes? Or just slip on mufflers? Drags need a crossover or a backpressure baffle to keep your torque...

Yes, the right torque cones and baffles can make all the difference in the world.

Yes its carb. So i need to try different jets for the different pipes? Didn't know that. The pipes were just slip on's. straight pipes with small baffels in it.
