Oh ok ... I actually get angry with myself when I search for sixth thinking " ..when the heck am I going to stop doing that man !!" When I was riding the woods and fields of Long Island as a kid, I dont remember doing this ... A street thing maybe ?

My 07 1200L doesn't have a tachometer, so I shift by the sound the engine is making. Sometimes doing over 50 I think I am in fourth and try to shift up into fifth. I'm already in fifth. The sporty's need a 6th gear.

I rented a '07 Softtail Heritage in Atlanta last year that did havea 6th gearand when I was on the highway, never went looking for it
