nightster tank range
Hi All,
I am thinking of buying a Harley Nightster and am interested in the tank range, 12.5 isnt that much fuel.
Sometimes like eveyone, I like to go quick and other times just cruise at 50 - 60 mph.
So has anyone got an idea of tank range for mixed riding.
Thanks,
Jeff.

RE: nightster tank range
yeah had my nightster since july this year ... i live in the city so i would say 80-90 miles the light comes on ... but this past holiday weekend i filled up and rode out into the country and i had gone 125 before light even came on ...
so yeah 3.? gallon tank ... i would say you get min 40 MPG ... max of like 55-60MP
great bike though ... i would highly reccommened a nicer seat and definately some front pegs for cruising ... in the city the standard pegs are cool cause u are shifting and breaking sooo much, but forward pegs even a evgine guard with pegs (i have) is ideal ... stretch out and roll !!!!

RE: nightster tank range
I'm at just under 1300 miles on my '08 Nighster. Seems to be settling in now so that I am averaging 47 mpg, mostly commuting at average of 45 to 50 mph during the week. The tankful before last I got around 52 which was mostly 60mph average speed on a secondary highway. Light comes on around the 100 mile mark give or take a couple miles either way. Not quite as good as my '07 883 was, but WAY better than my 1997 Ford Ranger pickup, so no complaints !!!
