is it worth the money for a kit to do a 3 or 5 degree rake on my sporty, will I notice a difference in the ride? I am just curious, anyone who has done it, I'd love your imput! Also, what are the benefits with going to a wide glide front end?

Let me know if you find a good wide glide conversion kit for an 04 Sportster. I'm going to put one on this Winter. I'm not changing the rake just going for the wide glide look. There is so many out there and the prices vary so much.

There will be a noticable difference in the handling. Steering will be a tad slower, low speeds is when you'll notice it the most ( parking lots ) Check E-Bay, the 3 deg. cups are on there all the time. As for the wide glide, Those kits are there too. I'm sure there are other places too, jp cycles, dennis kirk also.Personally, I feel the wide glide front is a bit too wide, the mid glide looks better. that's just my opinion, and we all know about opinions.

Okay how good is just doing the cup kit? I am not sure about going any wider because I may be installing a new headlight kit this winter to, i am just looking to rake out the front a bit and I'll go with a front fender that covers a bit more. also, slower steering at low speeds, is that good or bad? give me advice on what I am considering doing?
