'07 XL1200L Estate sale, what's it worth?
#11
Yes, bike appears clean/ unmolested.
Maybe a good purchase.
Battery, tires, misc = maintenance x < $1000, perhaps.
We are near the winter season plus this is an estate sale, so cash and little sentiment may get the deal done.
Good luck.
.02 comment, Sportster values.
Looks like a $5.7K bike (very clean/ not crashed).
But valuation ranges around $2.5K, I'd be hesitant to sell mine at those valuation amounts.

Just my 2c... In 2010 my 2007 XL1200L had 10,000+ miles on the odo when I bought it for about $5100. It looked almost exactly like the one in this estate sale except that mine came with mid-controls, highway pegs, a sundowner two-up seat with backrest and rack, Harley saddlebags, a loud WOLO horn and a 19" Harley sports windscreen. So. $5700 today is overly optimistic.

Wow - the book values are cheapo money!?!
The Sporty appears from what can see in the pics to be an excellent example. First year fuel injection, rubber mount and all the good stuff from the 2004 changes to the heads. The asking price is still likely NOT what I’d sell my 34,000 mile 2007 XL1200R for but that’s just me and the upgrades I have, suspension-both ends, seat, oil cooler, luggage rack, backrest w/led brake light and more aren’t commonly found as these bikes often don’t get the love I have for these. I bought it new.
If nothing obvious needs replacing or maintenance - tires, brakes, motor mounts, rubbers etc and it starts, runs and rides good I’d make a respectable off if you are going to ride it and not hack it up. Originality adds value IMHO.
Start $4K if you really want it but set your limit providing there are no issues. I expect the battery to be iffy or gone unless the owner was a regular rider who used a battery tender. But 3K for one of these seems way too cheap.
You do know these are among the most reliable bikes to come outta Milwaukee…! Also cheap to keep…
My 2¢
The values listed make nice examples a bargain.

5700 seems high, 2800 maybe low.
I like the blue.

2014 to 2022 Sportster models have both the reservoir and the master cylinder on the right hand side of the machine.
