Default fuel tank lift

Hi I am finish up a number of things on my 2002. While installing a 2" lift kit, I like the look better if only the front is raised. Will this effect getting all the fuel to the petcock, or do I need to make sure the tank is level?

Thanks

I have never heard of anyone who has installed a tank lift complain of fuel starvation.

Put a level up next to the tank at the petcock. Whatever part of the tank below the level won't get consumed. Plan accordingly.

You’ll likely have a small amount of fuel that will be below the petcock.
How much will depend on how much you raise the tank.
On a Sportster it could be pretty significant considering they already have smaller fuel tanks.

If you are worried check your mpg after the tank lift.

We have a video addressing the Tank Lift's Affect on Useable Fuel Capacity you might find helpful

If leveling the tank out is a concern after installing the lift for the front, we do offer a Deluxe Option for the rear of the tank you may be interested in.

This Deluxe Option lifts the rear of the tank and allows you to move the tank back up to 3/8".

Feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email with any questions you may have.

It will alter your useable fuel for sure, how much of a deal breaker is up to you. I got caught hitting reserve and thinking I had 10 miles left, like it always did, well the tank lift brought the reserve down about 1 mile, which is how far I pushed her to the gas station. Not a deal breaker, but figure out your revised range, to reserve and with reserve, good luck.
