Stalling at Stop Signs

My Road King was doing the exact same thing and it was the speed sensor.
Pulled it out and cleaned it and it got better for a while then did it again. So I replaced the speed sensor and fixed the problem.
My Road King was fuel injected.
I don’t know if a carb bike has a speed sensor though.

Not against googling, but some years it came both ways. Also means he doesn't know his alphabet. Doesn't even know what model of bike he has. He is not that interested.

Hi Aaron. Before you get too far into it, you might want to try adding some Seafoam to the gas tank (you can get it at Canadian Tire). It might be a gummed up pilot jet in the carb.
Just a couple of simple things to check; It might be worthwhile pulling the plugs and having a look to see if they're white-ish, tan coloured or black (too lean to too rich) and needs a mixture adjustment (not difficult). Your idle may just be too low (for my '03 it's 850 - 1050 RPM). If your bike doesn't have a tachometer, and is making a really slow potato potato sound, and clunks hard into 1st gear, it may be too low (HDs are clunky transmissions anyway but idle makes quite a difference). I didn't see anywhere if the bike has been modified. Changes to air cleaner and/or exhaust require at least carb adjustment, or a change of jets in the carb. My '03 had 6" pipes on it when I bought it and was running way too lean. Re-jetting the carb isn't too tough (there are lots of videos) and if it's like my '03, you don't even have to take the carb off the bike.
By all means start from the simple things and give lots of feedback. There are lots of wizards in this group anxious to help. Good Luck!

After setting the idle to 1000 rpm, and riding the bike it's not solved. Try again with the enricher pulled out a little, use a clothes pin if needed to keep it out, if the problems solved the you are running too lean. Probably need to replace the intake seals, and maybe rebuild the carb if the jets are plugged.
Oh and who cares what ai has to say.

I jack my idles up a little. Helps with warm up too. Dealer turned my FI bike up to 1100 when they were trying to figure out what was wrong. I ended up figuring out it waw dirty IACs. For some reasons early delphi didn't have the problem, or they didn't know it.
My carbed bike is turned up too
Seafoam as mentioned is not a bad idea. Put it in and go for short ride to circulate it. It does it work when sitting. You can get a drag carb kit. Cleaning carb is not bad idea. Good fresh gas, obviously too.
All electric is normal when you stall? I am guessing it is, but asking.
I can't remember, did it just start doing this? Has it sat for a long time? Are you riding it much?
I have never done it, but have heard of taking propane torch not lite, and letting gas flow by seals to see if it changes idle. Indicating bad seals. Bike is almost 20 years old Going through carb is not the worse

I paid a mechanic to rebuild the carburetor. I hadn't had the carburetor cleaned in 5 years and I've been using a carb cleaner for 2 years now. Apparently it was due for a rebuild.
I've had it back for a week now and what a difference. Feels like a new bike.
I was not storing the bike correctly and this made things worse, apparently. I was told at the dealer to run the carburetor empty before storing for the winter. This will be my first season doing it right - i think.
Thanks for all the insights folks!
