New to me 1992 sportster...
Just got a 1993 Harley Sportster ..
I pick it up next week.
Has all the stock parts..
I'm glad it has the factory exhaust. (I never did like open drag pipes..loses power with those)
It's a 1200cc
My plan is 6+ extended forks. Fork boots.
T-bars..
Corbin seat/mustang seat.. long flat.
Fairly tall sissy bar..
Chrome covered rear shocks.
That's it.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s...so of course I love the Swingarm chops.
I do want to ride it to Alaska from missouri.

Thanks for the reply.
I've probably built this bike in my head a 1000 times.
My boy talked me out of my 97 sporty..
Missed it terrible..
So I found this 93 40 miles away for a decent price.
Looking forward to building and riding it.
......
Side note .. there's YouTube video, called Little Martha..
A 88 sporty done up very nice.

Way back in the 70s .. my oldest brother had a 1968 sportster.. (I think?) Not positive on the year..
There's a picture of it somewhere..
I rode that bike quite a bit.
I'm almost 64 now..its a bucket list thing..
I want to recreate my memories..
I remember the bike had a double hump seat ..King queen ?????..I believe, ??? tall sissy bar.. and the front forks where a little bit longer....
I'm looking forward to seeing a dream come true.

This'll most likely be the last bike I ever buy.
Just looking to rebuild my memories..
I think I'll have a blast on it.
If I can do it.. want to take some road trips.

If you change the carb's jet needle to a tapered one you will gain 5 rear wheel horsepower. It is an easy power booster. I put one in my 94 sporty and it was a cheap and simple mod.
