What's dumb is the lights that change to red, when someone is approaching. I think of all the energy wasted stopping and going and it burns my a$$.
I took a defensive driving course a while back, for supposedly running a red light that was really yellow, and the instructor said all turn lights in phoenix are green before the straight ahead lights go green. In other words he said you can count on the turners having the first shot in that direction. He was saying if you anticipate to anticipate that, but he failed to mention, at that time, with sensors the lights turn when it senses the lane is occupied. He didn't mention that, and I wanted to say that an incorrect assumption based on what he had just said could get someone hurt, but he didn't let me speak. Sensors are good, Ugh, fire good.

I occationally have to run the light leaving my neighborhood because it will never change green. when I am in my car, it changes within a minute once I pull up. Thank god the new rule will make them change that little problem
