1200N Black or Chrome Daymaker Headlight
I can't easily find how to make this a poll.
Which looks better for you on a '07 1200 Nightster.
Chrome reflector or black?
Also:
A Nightster special design is the pale aluminum finish (Oil & fuel tank caps, HL surround trim ring as examples).
The OEM headlight ring is that "special" finish.
1) Does the OEM H/L ring fit with a Daymaker upgrade?
PS Yes, I know aftermarket H//L are a tenth the cost of OEM Harley, but that's another discussion.

I have a genuine H-D Daymaker installed on my 2011 XL883N, I thought the black item suits the "Dark Custom" look better than a chrome item.
The stock headlight bezel does fit with the Daymaker, there are black versions available from aftermarket suppliers.
I installed a black headlight grill, it comes with an black machined aluminum screw on bezel.

It's totally about what YOU like and want. You can get a "deep" headlight mount and reuse your OEM bucket ring. This is your bike, do whatever you want to it. Let your freak flag fly
but you can also pay the big bucks for the HD version #67700455. I've done both and lots between. I was oddly happiest with the cheapo 5-34 bucket from amazon.
no shame in trying and failing.
