You don't have the bolted transmission panel that is shown in your video, which is referred to as the trapdoor. If you have a 2004+ you're going to have to split the cases, nothing else you can do.

It sucks having to do all that work to replace a $25 (?) bearing, but that's what has to happen. Bummer for sure.

He has a 2019 XL883N 'Iron' John.

It's the one in Malta that was badly corroded by sea water, he had to do a ground up restoration job. I don't recall the motor being stripped down during the restoration.

Oh, this is that bike? I did not make the connection. He's put a lot of effort into that project, and it looked good IIRC.

nope motor wasn't stripped down as it was fine it only covered 5k km since then and has a total of around 12k

Gonna replace the oil just in case and gonna leave it as it is for now and see what happens.
