Thanks for the input guys! I am kinda in the same situation as Lamo70! I wanted to move it because I have a softail with a deposit on it. I feel like I am giving it away and still no bites.

Good luck on ebay I tried to sell my XL50 there, but no luck at all. I had only 300 miles on mine bone stock but as close to new as you could get. I sold mine for $8700 to a guy I work with. Talk to your friends at work and the people you ride with. word of mouth worked best in my case. It took 3 months hang in there you'll sell it. I thought that the anniversary would mean something but seems like they are making anniversary bikes every year....kinda waters it all down you think?

Bike is perfect in every way and has over $3000. in extras. I am having a hard time getting bites using craigslist and asking $8600....Does this sound high for a limited edition bike with only 1700 mi on it? Need suggestions!!!

$8600 isn't too high, IMO. I have seen two bikes in my area sell for over $9000. One was an 800 miles bike, the other had 1500 or so. But both were bare-bone stock bikes. Adding to these anniversary models (or ANY bike for that matter) doesn't up the value. If anything, it stalls the sale.
Hang in there. Don't give up on selling it. Advertise in your local area. People sometimes are hesitant to pay big $$$ for items that they haven't seen....thus the reason eBay is sometimes a little cheaper.
