Actually I picked up some of these Maguiares leather wipes and they work great, they dissolve the bug guts and clean the leather really well, then just a good wipe down with paper towels to take the shine away and the jacket looks like new. I also noticed that water beads up on the leather now so it helps in the waterproofing.

I hear ya hotlap.... I use the TurtleWax Leather Conditioner Spray and a towel. Cleans buggut right away. (badge of courage, yes. flavor falling into my plate of food or my beer, no[:@]).

I hit a bug this weekend. The SOB was so big, it hit my upperlip, pushed the skin in, and cut the inside of my mouth on my tooth. Saw it just before I hit it. Looked like some prehistoric freek of nature!

 

My wife had my leather vest and some cleaning stuff a few days ago. I said...WTF are you doing?? I did let her clean the picture of a Marine that is on my vest. I attended his funeral, and his family gave me a button with his picture.
