Default Choke Cable WTF

Any one find a Choke Cable that stays put where, you pull it to and stay ???
WTF...Wanting to replace the cable on my sportster. ....Non so far stay put !

Under the rubber piece at the base there is an adjustment cap. Is yours broken? I can adjust mine so tight I can't even pull it in or out. All the ones I have seen are the same design.

There may be a flat spot on the cable to hold it while you turn the adjuster nut, then you can tighten the star washer and nut to hold it to the mounting. Don't tighten the star washer and nut, that is not the adjuster, the knurled part on the outside is.

Choke control 2.0, always effective!

You can see the knurled ****, and the mounting nut (cad plated) in the back. Hold the cable, and turn the knurled nut. Take the cable off the mount first, otherwise you end up just tightening the cad colored nut and do no adjustment. The should be a small flat spot on the cable behind the cad plated nut to hold it steady.
