Default 05 XL 1200 Custom

Bought 3 yrs ago with 12,000 miles! Now I have 41,000😎. Lots of riding time here in the Sunshine State! Plus I'm retired✌️. I added on alot of extras. It was stock. And wheels are original! Hard to find used bike with perfect chrome spokes! Original paint too!

Interesting you have a cast rear with a spoke front. Is that a HD back wheel, or aftermarket? I like the 5 spoke design, even cleaner than my 7 spoke cast rear.

A very nice bike, I like the burgundy color too!

Real nice bike. Cool wheels, I like the seat. You keep it up real well. I got one of those oil caps with the thermometer, too.

Default Same!

Dang bro, I just inherited that same bike! Mine came with the cast wheels though. I did a bunch of changes to it, Pops had it set up like a bagger. Put on swing arm bag, 90deg super sucker, Saddlemen gel seat, legend shocks. Had to replace VSS sensor and rear brake switch. Runs like a top. Of course cleaned dirt from 2005 off it lol

Default Wheels

My wheels are Stock and original. Rear is a slotted wheel and front is a stock spoke wheel.Who ever had it before me took great care of it and was kept in garage.( only 12,000 miles when I bought it 3 yrs ago)I now have 41,000! I to keep it in garage. After I wash it I dry and wax it. The front spoke wheel I use a yard grass blower to get the water out of the tight areas of the spokes... then use a small paint brush sprayed with wd40 and brush it on the spokes and rims then wipe off. ( be careful not to get on tires!)then later I wax the rims(not the spokes). I spend a couple hours detailing it.

This is ne'er pic with mustang seat and buckhorn handlebars. I'll post a new pic with new air cleaner . I did away with the canned ham looking one lol

I believe this year you could opt for cast or spoke. If you haven’t tried F11 Pro (top coat) you should! I don’t wash the bike at all. If I get junk on there, damp washcloth and it comes right off. The F11 can go on all surfaces, even the mirrors. One product, 10 min shine, whole bike. Water just beads right off. Most amazing product I have used in 30 years. I spent prob 20 hours detailing when I got it, wash and dry then scrub scrub scrub, especially the chrome which was bad. Then I applied the F11, won’t wash again.

The slotted rear is actually stock, a friend of mine had a 1200C that came that way from the factory.
