Ohlins 12" shocks on my King. A buddy has a similar on on his Sporty Custom.

And being 110lbs heavier than me those shocks would be so hard to be terrible for me.
It is so important to not just take "standard" springs but get the correct spring rate for your riding weight.
Unfortunately though if the damping is wrong or cannot be adjusted even the best springs in the world won't work.
