Default digital speedo

Any one know of a plug & play digital speedometer with tach that will fit the 2008 883 sportster custom? Thanks, Scott

Welcome to the forum and from NC.

One that comes to mind is this by Dakota Digital. The manual says just plug in the harness. Not sure about the Koso brand, as they're usually more for newer bikes.

Here is the Dakota, it is plug and play for 2004 to 2022 Sportster models. UYou can change the colour to suit your mood.

Here is the Koso with digital speedometer analogue tachometer, it too is plug and play for 2004 to 2022 Sportster models.

Here is H-D's speedometer / tachometer combo, the part # is 70900100c.

HD has three versions, two is for CAN bus bikes, those from 2014 Sportsters and up. For your 2008 you need the other one part #70900274.

ETA: Be aware the HD speedo marries to the bike after the bike has been driven for 30 miles. It has to be programmed on the bike to get the mileage from the ECM before fitting. All of this is in the instructions that come with the speedo.

I have the H-D speedo/tach Andy from Sandy mentioned above on my '11 Custom. You'll also need the fuel sensor kit to get the fuel gauge and range to empty functions. The analog tach is what I like about it and the rest is digital and includes a gear indicator.

I have installed two and on the 2017 it was more difficult with where HD have put bits.

On a 2008 the fuel pump is a game of tetris to get out of the tank. It does require patience to wiggle the pump into exactly the right places for it to come out.

The fitting of the sender itself is then very easy with it replacing the low level switch already there.

Then you just have to get the pump back in the tank!

You can read the installation instructions here - https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....5?locale=en_US

The old stuff took a little coaxing to remove, but as mentioned, it's pretty easy to get the new kit in.
