While I have done all my subsequent services, I think it's foolish not to let the dealer do the 1K. It really locks in your warranty and puts in writing that the dealer has certified all the factory adjustments.

I am about to change mine myself but letting them check the belts and things. I went today to purchase my oil "3 quarts", tranny fluid "1 quart", oil filter, and all my new seals and gasket. I was just wondering why they gave me so many seals? I know one is for the primary cover, one for the oil filter, and the other two I think they go to the drain plugs?

They know customer service. Where i live i have two dealer 'both great' within 20 min., one sml., one lrg.-- Stan's h-d of Batavia N.Y. between the two I have always been able to get great service at fair prices.
