The next best move is a stripped out Soft Tail. I bought my Sportster because it was cheap.

The Softail Standard is now in my humble opinion, the best value for money machine in H-D's 2023 model portfolio, closely followed by the Street Bob.

To add to the price pain my local dealer is tacking on $1,000 “Demand Fee” WTF… maybe that was a thing when supply chain problems made it harder to get bikes in, but now the showrooms are full. BS

total horse crap... i would report them to the moco and see what they have to say about it.... and then find another dealer, for that kind of money
you can afford to travel a ways and hunt one down
