turn signals wont auto-cancel ?
hi everyone,
i recently changed my turn signals to LED bulbs which ofcourse caused my turn signals to stay on continuously without flashing.
so in order to fix this, i soldered in this nano flasher (see image) into the O/W wire coming from the turn signal module.
the turn signals are now flashing, however incorrectly.
whats happening now is that i have press and HOLD the turn signal button for it to flash!
(they are supposed to switch ON with just one flick of the switch and automatically switch OFF after a few seconds)
any advice to make them work properly again? or what i did wrong?
much appreciated!

You asked about this gizmo in your other thread, but I guess you didn`t like what you heard, so you spliced it in anyway.
The orange/white wire is not coming from the turn signal module, it is going to the turn signal module.
Feel free to ignore me.
Again.

i saw your post and definitely not ignored it. in fact i mentioned what you said in the local harley shop that sold me the Nano flasher!
they said in the shop that theyve done this mod many times and that it works...(?).. thats what made me do it anyway.
(i also contacted the manufacturer and they also said it would work on my model...
i know that O/W is going into the module. so i cut he wire and solded the red wire of the nano flasher to the +12v O/W, and the purple wire of the nano flasher to the O/W going into the plug of the TSM.
now the problem is that i get a different answer from everyone i ask. haha. so i thought i just have to try it myself then i guess...
dont know what else to do. lol
dont know how this can be so dificult...?
eitherway mate. i much appreciate your input !! anything helps!
thanks

Remove the nanoflasher.
You cannot add a flasher upstream of a turn signal module and expect it to work properly, whoever told you it would work has not actually tried this (you now know more than they do about it).
The likely reason that you turn signals do not flash after adding LED bulbs is that there is not enough amperage draw on the circuit to make the flasher work.
This problem can be solved by making or buying a load equalizer, which will increase the load on the circuit.
It creates an additional path to ground (through a resistor) which increases the amperage flow through the circuit.
If you call Custom Dynamics they will set you up with exactly what you need, they have excellent customer service.
