I like the idea of being able to find a replacement bulb at an auto parts store in BFE.

 

It's a common problem with LED's but to just say screw it after you spent the money is just plain old lame.

 

I don't bother with them for turn signals, seems kind of pointless, but they have some real advantages for head and tail lights. The headlights are a good bit brighter than the stock H4 and use less power, and if I needed a replacement in a pinch a 5.75" sealed beam would do. My LED headlight still works fine 5 years on.
For a brake light an LED lights up about 0.2 seconds faster...doesn't sound like much but it could make all the difference if someone is bearing down on you at high speed...
FWIW I went with the Harley LED tail light, also still good after 5 years.
