Default Turn signal issues

My 88 sporty left turn signals aren’t working correctly, my front left turn signal works but the left rear isn’t blinking and my speedometer’s left blinker icon doesn’t show up and ideas on the issue and a fix.

Check rear bulb, then trace with a multimeter to see where current ends if bulb okay. My 1991 has only one signal indicator light (for both sides) on the speedo mount, do you have some kind of aftermarket speedo? My speedo does not have any turn signal lights integrated into it, they are below the speedo on the mount itself.

Well, time to check the wiring. If the front works, it's probably just a broken wire.

Cannot help you with your speedo, contact Dakota, perhaps they can send you the instructions or they are online?

Wiring diagram for 1988 - https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....1743498eb!!1!3

The problem is you are no longer stock with the change of speedo.

This thread could of gone on a while so it is good in the first post to state if you have modified or changed anything, IMO.

Check the wiring harness under the rear fender, sometimes the tire can rub on it and cause problems.
