i have a 2008 883c that i just picked up and dont like the oval air cleaner, will the later model round ACs interchange ?

 

Have you checked product fitment charts? I guess that would be good starting point. Good luck!

Any of the round air cleaners at this LINK will fit your 2008 883c.

The OEM round will fit also, but why trade one hot box for another...unless it is free.

 

because i am trying to put the bike back to mostly stock config for the most part

screaming eagle ac and V&H short shots coming off... stock head pipes with
some deeper tone slip ons going on and i prefer a round AC to the large oval
which is why i asked if the later model round would bolt right up.

just a preference

Gotcha, the stock round will fit, so you are good on that front of your resto to mostly stock.

I installed a 2019 XL1200X round filter on my 2011 XL883N, there were no issues with the installation.
