Looks pretty damn good! I'm seriously thinking I'm going to have to put a windshield on my 2008 Nighster. What brand is yours?

I've also got some "mini apes" handlebars on order ... I do love the look and general feel of the stock handlebars but it is a bit of a stretch for me and my back and arms have been really aching after rides that aren't that long. I'm also changing the bags I have on there. Going with my hubby's older bags which have a bit more of an "old school" look. But I need bags.

The Nighster is so cool the way it is, but sometimes one does have to make changes for comfort.

Perch, the windshield is a Memphis Shades Del Rey (15" by 13") with detachable hardware. Costwas $152 out the door! My wife had the same issue with the handle bars, the stealer gave her 50% off on a set of handle bars (they were stock handle bars that come on a 2007 Sportster 883L) We had them power coated black and the reach for my wifeis now perfect!!! Powder coating only cost $30

I think the crash bars and windshield make it look a bit of an old man's bike, like some oldVelocette, AJS or Arielfrom the 1940s or 1950s that you're only likely to see at vintage car rallies. Surprisingly, the Nightster kind of lends itself to this treatment, with its old-fashioned styling, fork gaiters, etc., so the extras don't appear out of place. Looks good, if that's the look you're after.

It's not a look I would want, but each to their own. Most important thing is that your wife is happy with it and, if she feels more comfortable and protected with the extras in place, it will increase her enjoyment of riding.

The windshield looks sharp! Good choice. Darn...more good ideas and it's like being a kid in a candy store when you own a Harley. Pipes, seat, windshield........???? Don't know what to BUY first.
