fuel treatment for winter storage

Stabil and seafoam are most popular. I prefer to take it for a ride to circulate it good, and I preer to put in before I fill it up to mix it good. But some years are not perfect. Sometime just have to let it run garage for a few minutes. Let it get hot. Down side of this is possible condensation in oil. But I would let it run for a few minutes.

Had a strange reaction with Seafoam and Shell gas a few years ago. Some kind of "globs" (I presumed) would clog the pilot jet, bike shut down randomly while riding. Pulled over, and it always restarted immediately. Nothing in carb bowl so it wasn't dirt or rust. I just figured some kind of "jello" blobs formed somehow and clogged the jet, but got sucked through on restart. Who knows.
So, not a big fan of Seafoam (or Shell) anymore. Not sure what caused it, but after a couple refills and no more Seafoam, have never had the problem again. I get to ride all year here in SoCal, so really no need for stabilizers.

Wasting my money, but I put seafoam in all my small engines. 4 wheeler, sxs, mowers, sled. Gas probably never gets that old. You can't prove it, but it does seem like my atv and sxs start better now, Don't require the second try, but it could also be a milltion other things.
I buy premium, and it sits in the can sometimes for 1-3 months.

I used Seafoam for years, never had a problem, until that one incident. It definitely helps with small engines, etc. Just one of those weird experiences that likely can't be replicated, but it did happen. It concerned me because it could have happened on the interstate where having the engine die could be catatstrophic.

I'd think more like bad gas. But again who knows.

Have to agree here. I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that it was the sea foam. Bad gas, crud in the tank or carbs etc.
