Went on one my first rides out of the county when by chopper was new to a buds house 80 mi away. Got to his gate and stalled the bike right there. Kicked and kicked but no start, my bud an couple others came out when it started raining and helped push it up and in to his garage. Checked everything out and finally put the reserve on, it fired right up. Felt kind of Duh! The 3.2 tank apparently had only 2.2 usable cause of the angle it sits on. Now atleast I know the limits.

 

Also, you weren't REALLY empty, just needed to switch to reserve. Practice that Petcock switch. I've gotten where I can usually flip that thing without really loosing any speed at all. Besides, it's fun to play with your Petcock. (I just love that term) [sm=devilgrin.gif]
