SeaFoam carb. cleaner etc.
Has anyone used a product called SeaFoam Motor Treatment and if so is it OK to use in my '03 883 Sportster? When added to the gas tank it is supposed to clean injectors, carbuerators and jets, free-up lifters and rings, lubricate upper cylinders etc.?
I have a can of this stuff I used in my previous bike, a 650 V* but I don't want to chance it in my Sporty if it may cause a problem. Thanks all.

RE: SeaFoam carb. cleaner etc.
Hey Molsenice:
In answer to your questions: What is it?
On the can it says it is for use in any 2 or 4 stroke engine. On the can it also says it can be used in lawnmower engines, outboards motors, motorcycles, autos, chainsaws, snowmobiles etc. When added to the gas tank it cleans fuel injectors, carbs and carb jets, cleans carbon as you drive, lubricates upper cylinders, removes moisture and stabilizes fuel. When added to the oil it frees sticky lifters and rings, cleans dirty parts, removes moisture and increaces RPMs vacuum & compression.
Where do you get it?
I got mine at CarQuest in Ottawa but I would think any good auto parts store would have it.
The people over at the V* 650 CC&D forum recommended its use and when I had my V* I used it with no problems and noticed an improvement.
But with my Sportster, well it's a different bike and I wanted to know if other members of this forum have used it with like results. Tks.
