RE: Spark plugs...which ones do you prefer?
I can't see spending more money for the latest 'whiz bang' sparkplugs when it's not needed.
I've used Champion and standard HD plugs in my bikes, under all kinds of conditions, for years and years and years, without any kind of problem.....
The Champion RA8HC works just as well as the HD 6R12, which isn't surprising as the last I heard Champion was still making the plugs for Harley.
I change plugs around the 8,000 to 10,000 mark, or whenever I happen to think about it. For all you that believe in going strictly by Harley recommendedschedules, I'm pretty sure they say to change out the plugs every 10,000 (or as needed).
What's the price of 2 Champion RA8HC plugs, maybe $4.50? Guess if you need to spend 'big bucks' you could get a couple of HD6R12 plugs for $9.00. Less than the price of a meal or a few beers.
But if it makes you feel better to spend more money for the latest'super plugs' be my guest. I'd rather spend my money on something that actually makes a difference.
