will part number 56757-05 fit a 06 1200 custom, it says it will fit 96 and up, but my experience is not all 96 and up will fit, most but not all. usually its 04 and up is was I watched for, so just curious before buy

 

Yes, they will fit your bike. And yes, they are easy to change. Takes about a half an hour tops (this is after having about eight beers). Without the beers, probably a fifteen minute job.
