I just picked up a 2002 Sportster 883 Custom. I haven't even registered it yet! ; D Just the ride home showed me I needed a more comfortable seat. There is a guy about an 1 1/2 away that has a great deal on a used Mustang seat and sissy bar from a Dyna model 1996-2003. Anyone know if those two parts would work on mine? Tried to tell from pictures he posted, but just can't tell. Wasn't sure if anyone has tried interchanging those parts before...thanks for any help!

 

1st a little help for finding what parts fit what bike. Search online for a reputable parts place. Such as Dennis Kirk, J&P Cycles and look up Dyna 96/03 seats. Now go look at fitment. The Short Answer is - NO. Sportsters have short frames, Dyna (ALL BigTwins) have long frames.
