Default Throttle grip problems.

This is the grip. It sticks like the bars are to big for the inside of it. And won’t allow it to snap back and close the carb. Idk what to do.

Try loosening the switch housing screws and slide the housing and grip out towards end of handlebar a little.

Is your carb spring strong? Manually start with the carb. Is the cables routed correctly?

First thing to check is has the throttle friction screw been inadvertently tightened up ? Then pull the throttle tube off to make sure a previous owner hasn't taped up the handlebar to stop the throttle tube rattling . If that doesn't work , buy another throttle tube .

so I bought the new handlebars. Their 1” and the grip came as is. It doesn’t have a throttle tube in it. And I did have it backed off the end of the bars about a inch. The screws are all loose.

I have sanded the throttle side of my bars until the grip works smoothly. You can't see it no harm done.
