Angry 1989 Sportster 883 ignition upgrade

Hello everybody

Hope someone can help. I own a 1989 SPortster 883 Deluxe (at least the documents and the VIN tell this).
When I started to investigate the upgrade to a Dynatek 2000i electronic ignition I found that my ignition looks like shown in the attached pictures.
Can anybody tell me what I need to do and what additional parts I need to be able to install the Dynatek ignition?
By the way, I don't have the timing inspection hole on the right side, but seems like there is one on the left side of the bike? Picture 3 shows the left side.
Thanks and kind regards,
Peter

Is this a little bit rusted screw the timing inspection hole?

Someone "upgraded" to older technology, points/condenser/mechanical advance weights. You need to buy an ignition that replaces those points and advance weights. I think the Dyna 2000i comes in a "nosecone" module version to do that. Mine still had the stock timing sensor, so I just bought the plug in module that replaced my stock one (under the triangle cover rear of battery). Someone stripped out your timing sensor and probably the module under the triangle cover as well.

Hi John.
You might be right, someone of the former owners maybe upgraded another bike with the original components of my bike and installed old ignition technology. Must have been a guy who knew a bit about these bikes.
Does this mean I can remove this old ignition stuff and install an original ignition rotor HD OEM Part No. 32402-83? Then the Dynatek 2000i would work.
Regards,
Peter

From what I read, it would seem that is all you need, and maybe check the timing setting.

The Dyna 2000i can go single or dual fire, it's adjustable AND reliable! EVERYTHING, except the coil, goes in the nose cone. Put one on my old 96 Wideglide back in 98. Over 100,000 on it with the Dyna unit when I traded it in 2006.
