Default Gear sticks some times Please help

I Was riding the other day on my 06 883 custom and while down shifting the **** lever stated all the way down does any one know why it does this should i get it check out or is it kinda normal?

Adjust your clutch cable and make sure its not binding, if still sticking or hard shifting then inspect the clutch and adjust as needed. Check your users manual and following a service manual might be a good idea if your not familiar (if you don't have a service manual it's a wise purchase). If still not functioning properly and your not comfortable with it or making adjustments take it to your local dealer or independent shop.

might want to check the primary chain too. could need to be adjusted. like capttawes said, if you're not comfortable with doing adjustments, take it in to have it checked.

shifter return spring or you shifted to soft. check your trans oil and make sure it does not have water in it allowing the trans to get hot.

shifter pivot shaft. take it apart and clean it with some sand paper, lube it. then reassemble.
