It is hard to see on those shock absorbers but on others you can see a keeper ring that is exposed and released when the spring is compressed.

If I could be confident in a supplier I would say go for Bitubo. They have 7 or so different springs with linear and progressive springs. Only DK customs in America give me confidence in the information they ask.
I tried to explain to a supplier here and all they said is if you want to you can give us your weight as if it would make no difference to the spring that would be on the shocks.
Hagon Shocks seem to have a good range with good bang for buck.
Progressive offer standard or heavy spring which is not ideal, you just have to be the right weight for them to work. I asked them once about rider weight and other stuff and they seemed very vague at the time with no range of weight the springs are designed for.
One thing though is if you can use a longer shock to get more travel it makes for a better ride.
