Seems like I heard that is actually the air box and the fuel tank is under the seat.

Yep, just like the Night Rod. In fact there are several design similarities between the Nightster and Night Rod. They managed 5 gallons under the seat of the Night Rod, but only 3.5 on the Nightster. Hmm.

Well, so much for that idea. Another reason to keep my 1991 until death do us part.

Here is how it comes from HD -

It is about 60 lbs. lighter than an Iron 883 with about 40 more Horse Power.

I want to see the 0-60 time, I'm curious how it stacks up against other retro-classics such as the Triumph Thruxton R and BMW R9T.

Hopefully they addressed the exploding clutch and leaky top end too.

Complaints aside, I like where it's going. Great as the air cooled evo was, it was long overdue for an upgrade.

0-60 time isnīt really what Iīm looking for at a Cruiser, but good low/mid RPM power and torque. 4th gear 35 to 75 or so.
The 1250T from Sportster S works good - this one is also a "T" version. Weīll see.

I think something inside of harley enthusiasts creates a fear of change. We are afraid that the things we love will no longer be recognizable in the future. That's what I think it is. We aren't afraid of progress. We shouldn't be. It is necessary and what keeps harley alive.

I've never owned a sporty but I've always loved their silhouette and keep thinking that someday I'll be on one. I'm very happy to see this! The bike looks great and sounds like a fun ride! The shape keeps with tradition and I hope it sells. Of course it will be much more appetizing once the larger engine is available as well.

Good job Harley-Davidson!
