Clutch question
My wife rides a 2006 1200L and she recently started complaining that she could not move the bike with the motor running, transmission in gear, and the clutch pulled in. The only way she can move it is to put the trans in neutral. I rode the bike some earlier this year and do not recall having this problem. I have got on the bike recently and it is extremely hard to move with the transmision in gear and the clutch pulled in. Even with the motor off, it is hard to move if the trans is in gear and the clutch pulled in (disengaged).
We took it to the dealer (one of the good ones) and they adjusted the clutch but it is still doing it. The dealer was not able to duplicate the problem. I think it must be a intermittent occurrence but I will have to pay more attention. One the techs said that this is normal for some sportsters but not all. Is this normal? If not normal, where is the problem, clutch or trans? Oh, the bike has 6k miles on it and the 5k service was done just before we bought the bike.
thanks,

RE: Clutch question
It seems to me that if its hard to move when running in gear with the clutch pulled in, its in the transmission, if it were the clutch I think it would not be releaseing and the bike would creep foward with the clutch pulled in.
Sounds more like a transmission issue, sinse it will move in neutral, engine running.
