I need some help. I am trying to remove the rear strut cover on my 2008 Nightster.. Clutch side. The side with the integral fold away license plate bracket. When I reach between the wheel and where the turn signal is I don't feel any 1/2" nut like on the opposite side. I have the HD service manual and they how to remove the turn signal. They only tell you how to remove the fender. There is also no exploded diagram for the XL1200N in the service manual.
Can someone please explain how I remove the turn signal? It's the only thing left holding the strut cover on (mine is rusty and needs replacing)

Found the 1/2" nut!
