Chrome side covers or black (i have both)? The one with the black covers has my OEM seat, in storage now.

I like the black ones better. But, both are good.

I personally prefer the black covers.

Black is the new chrome due to chrome being so last century.

The chrome just looks out of place in that area to me. Black does a better job of breaking up the chrome and accenting the tank imo.

I'm a chrome guy so either works IMO. Nice to have some choices.

I did something different on my '11 Custom

I have black ribbed ABS plastic covers on my 2011 XL883N.

I like the black ones.

I kept the stock denim black on my Iron, but I cut some holes in them, then covered them with stainless mesh.
