rocker box torque specs?
I'm going to tackle changing the rocker box gaskets. I don't have a sportster service manual at the moment and just wondering it any body knows the torque specs for the rocker boxes. Another thing, just wondering what is the easiest way to take the tank off with out getting gas everywhere? If anybody is feeling really ambicious scanning and sending me the whole replacing the rocker box gasket would be the biggest help. Any wisdom and help is greatly appreciated, anything is better then nothing. thanks shawn.

RE: rocker box torque specs?
Personally I've always gone by feel for the rocker boxes, snug up all the bolts with fairly equal tension and that's it. The head bolts are another story though. But for the rocker boxes, I just do it by feel, you can good a good idea by comparing how tight they feel when you take them off. But from my 94 manual the torque values are 15-18ft-lbs for the 5/16" bolts, and 10-13ft-lbs for the 1/4" bolts. Although in my experience most torque wrenches are not all that accurate in that range anyhow, due to the amount of oil thats on the bolts and the quality of the threadings.
